Royal Mail Design and Approval Service – Business Reply and Freepost Plus

Business Reply Plus – has a highly professional look and ideal for business communications. You print a licence number and address that we supply and because this can be read easily by our sorting machines you save money. Has a lower cost per response than Business Reply Standard.
Freepost™ Plus – has a less formal look and is often better suited to consumer-focused campaigns. You pre-print the envelope with a machine-readable address and Freepost licence number and then supply those envelopes to your customer. Has a lower cost per response than Freepost™ Standard.
Royal Mail Design and approval Service

As you may be aware Royal Mail since privitisation has been making many changes and it is our intention to make any changes to current specifications and processes as painless as possible for our existing and prospective clients.
If you have an exisiting license and it is NOT one of the 12 digit numbers then we will need to assist you by getting an up to date number, if however you do not have a current Business Reply or Freepost licence – we can get this arranged for you, please do allow up to 14 days for this licence – it does not just happen by return so please plan ahead if you can.

Did you Know Your Business Reply and Freepost envelopes have to be changed by the 7th November 2014 or you may not get the replies you were expecting.

Royal Mail insist with both Business Reply and freepost that they are approved, we are able to help with this by creating the artwork and getting them approved for you by Royal Mail – we are in daily contact with them regarding approvals – and Royal Mail are being very fussy with regard to specificiations and layouts.

Did you Know – The cost to have mail returned 2nd class is only 29.5p rather than the franked rate of 37p so getting replies to your mailings is very cost effective.

All existing envelope stocks that do not comply with the new requirements cannot be used after the 7th November 2014.

Did you Know – You can use the 1st class or 2nd class reply paid indicias depending on the speed of response you need.
